Celebrity trainer uses compound exercises to get fit fast
Celebrity trainer Jackie Warner shows us a fast and efficient way to workout.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- At Fit Nation gym in Los Angeles, celebrity trainer Jackie Warner showed Eyewitness News what she says is the best way to get in shape.

Using multi-joint compound exercises, the idea is to do one repetition of each compound move, then two, then three, and so on, working up to a total of 10.

The workout should only take about 10 minutes each day, creating a "ladder" effect.

Doing this with a handful of exercises provides the opportunity to increase strength, burn fat, rev up metabolism and cardiovascular system as all the major muscles are in action.

Combinations include:

-Push up/Hammer Curl Squat

-Squat/lateral raise

-Plie squat/"Arnold" press

-Wide Rows/Standing Headbangers (over head tricep extention)

-push up/bicep curl

She suggests doing 10 reps and four sets of each.

The exercises and three week detox program are featured in her new book, "This is Why You're Sick and Tired."
