As a massive earthquake struck Mexico Tuesday - which followed a larger one earlier this month in the country - Southern California residents are anxious about when the "big one" will hit.
LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- As a massive earthquake struck Mexico Tuesday, making Southern California residents anxious about when the "big one" will hit.
Eyewitness News visited the Emergency Operations Center at the Red Cross to find out how you can be prepared.
The most important things you should put in an earthquake kit are the following:
- Cash
- Canned food
- Water
- Can opener
- Flashlight or glow sticks or candles with waterproof matches
- Extra pair of shoes should be by your bed
- Gloves
- Masks
