Man killed in Jefferson Park shooting; suspect sought

JEFFERSON PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A driver was killed in a car-to-car shooting in the Jefferson Park area of Los Angeles early Saturday, and authorities are searching for the man's killer.

Los Angeles police responded to the incident at about 4 a.m. near Western Avenue and 29th Street.

Authorities said the victim's car was riddled with bullets and had crashed near the intersection.

The victim, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the shooting was gang-related but did not provide a suspect description.

Several blocks along Western Avenue were shut down for the investigation.
