1 dead, 2 injured after car crashes into La Habra fire hydrant

LA HABRA, Calif. (KABC) -- A man was killed and two were injured after a car crashed into a fire hydrant in La Habra early Saturday morning.

Around 12:15 a.m., authorities received a call about a car smashing into a fire hydrant on La Habra Boulevard.

Three men were inside the car and authorities said one person died while two others were hospitalized in unknown conditions.

It was unclear what caused the crash, if speed was a factor, or if the crash may have been alcohol related.

The investigation was ongoing.
