1 killed, 1 injured in stabbings outside Corona bar
A 24-year-old man was arrested for murder and assault with a deadly weapon after stabbing two people outside a sports bar in Corona Sunday night.

CORONA, Calif. (KABC) -- A 24-year-old man was arrested for murder and assault with a deadly weapon after stabbing two people outside a sports bar in Corona.

Police responded to a report of a stabbing in the parking lot of Rack's Billiards and Bourbon in the 1600 block of East 6th Street at 11:23 p.m. Sunday.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a man suffering from a stab wound to the chest. That person was transported to an area hospital, where he was treated and released.

Witnesses told investigators that they saw a man running from the scene of the crime. Police found that person of interest hiding in dense brush near Promenade Avenue and Melissa Court and took him into custody for questioning.

A short time later, officers were flagged down by a bystander who told them about a second stabbing victim at the opposite side of the parking lot. Authorities said that victim, John Fuller III, 67, of San Fernando Valley, died.

A knife detectives believe was used in the crime was found at the scene. Jesus Gonzalez Gutierrez, 24, of Corona was booked into the Riverside County Jail for murder and assault with a deadly weapon. He's being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
