1 teen killed, another hurt in East LA shooting

EAST LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A 17-year-old boy was killed and a 15-year-old wounded in East Los Angeles Friday afternoon, deputies said.

The shooting occurred at Ditman Avenue and Sixth Street around 4:22 p.m.

Police say the two teenage boys were standing on the corner when several suspects in a white four-door Dodge Charger stopped in front of the boys, got out, and opened fire.

The victims were rushed to a local hospital where the 17-year-old boy was pronounced dead. The 15-year-old boy remains hospitalized.

The investigation is ongoing.
