One person shot in Eagle Rock home invasion

EAGLE ROCK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- One man was shot and a woman was beaten during a home invasion in Eagle Rock on Thursday, according to the LAPD.

Two male suspects with weapons were seen running from the home in the 4600 block of Ellenwood Drive and are still at large, police said.

Los Angeles Police Department investigators said the incident began shortly after 8 a.m. when a woman was going inside her home.

Two suspects forced their way past her inside and pistol-whipped the woman in the head. They then shot a man inside the home. He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.

It is unknown now what property was taken from the home.
