14-year-old accused of stabbing 8-year-old at Santa Paula park

SANTA PAULA, Calif. (KABC) -- A 14-year-old was taken into custody Saturday on suspicion of stabbing an 8-year-old at a Santa Paula park.

Santa Paula police responded to a call about a stabbing at about 3:50 p.m. at Teague Park in the 500 block of West Harvard Boulevard.

A preliminary investigation found that the 14-year-old had stabbed the 8-year-old, who was taken to Ventura County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation into the incident was underway.
