ECHO PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who ran down a woman in a crosswalk in Echo Park on Wednesday night.

Authorities say the incident happened on the 1400 block of West Temple Street at about 9:30 p.m.

The 18-year-old victim was taken to the hospital, where she was in stable condition. Police say she has a broken arm, broken wrist and cuts to her face. Her companion stayed behind to help police.

Police are looking for a dark blue or black Honda Civic with tinted windows. No further information was immediately available.
