2 fatally shot outside FedEx in Stevenson Ranch
Investigators say a man shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself in a murder-suicide outside a FedEx store in Stevenson Ranch.

STEVENSON RANCH, Calif. (KABC) -- Santa Clarita Valley sheriff's deputies were investigating the fatal shooting of a husband and wife outside of a FedEx store in Stevenson Ranch on Sunday evening.

The shooting, which detectives say was an apparent murder-suicide, happened at about 9 p.m. at The Old Road and Pico Canyon Road. According to investigators, the husband shot his wife and then himself.

Officials say a firearm was recovered at the scene, and they were not seeking any suspects.

The man and woman in their 50s were both inside the FedEx store doing business, but the shooting occurred after they left.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation, but detectives say the two were going through some sort of separation. The husband and wife arrived at the FedEx store in separate vehicles, according to authorities.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information was asked to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
