SANTA ANA, Calif. (KABC) -- Santa Ana police were seeking the public's help in identifying two men and a woman suspected of breaking into cars and mail boxes at a luxury apartment home three separate times this week.

In surveillance video released by police, a man in a hood pries open the doors to a cluster of mailboxes at the Pinnacle at Macarthur Place apartment complex with a crowbar. Another man comes in and starts stuffing mail into a trash bag. Minutes later, they close the doors and leave.

"The big issue here is they're looking for people's identities, looking for credit cards. They're looking for anything they can use in future crimes as well," Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said.

The thieves struck three times on different floors of the building since Jan. 31. The second time, a bald man with a chain comes alone. The third time, he's joined by a blonde woman.

The thieves also burglarized cars in the parking structures too. Police fear they have hit other buildings nearby.

"You can see how quickly they do this. They're doing this in early morning hours, from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m.," Bertagna said.

Surveillance video shows two getaway cars -- a white Ford Mustang and a Volvo station wagon.
