LANCASTER, Calif. (KABC) -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.5 shook residents near Lancaster early Tuesday.

The quake hit at 12:16 a.m. PT, about 18 miles west northwest of Lancaster, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injury.
