VIDAL JUNCTION, Calif. (KABC) -- A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck northern Arizona on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake hit shortly before 10 p.m. about 7 miles north of Sedona. There were no immediate reports of damages or injuries.

The earthquake first registered as a 3.4-magnitude earthquake in Vidal Junction, a small town that is part of the Sonoran Desert in an unincorporated part of San Bernardino County. That quake was apparently recorded in error.
