Adult male surfer pulled from Malibu water dies
An unidentified adult male surfer died after being pulled from the water off Malibu Monday afternoon.

MALIBU, Calif. (KABC) -- An unidentified adult male surfer was pronounced dead after being pulled from the water off Malibu Monday afternoon.

An adult male surfer was pulled unconscious from the water off Malibu at Tuesday afternoon just west of the Malibu Pier by two lifeguards. Lifeguards performed CPR on the man, and he was transported to UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica, where he was pronounced dead at 12:08 p.m.

The unidentified man was an Asian man in his 50s, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office. The man reportedly collapsed while sitting in the lineup and was found floating face-down before lifeguards pulled him from the water.
