LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An investigation is underway at Griffith Park after a body was found near 4900 Crystal Springs Drive. It is unknown at this time if foul play was involved.
LAPD received a call from park rangers regarding the body of man at 11:36 a.m. A coroner said the man was approximately 50 to 60 years old, and the body had been "skeletonized."
Police say the body was found near a homeless encampment, but it was unclear if the person was a transient.
No further information was immediately available.
