Cal State Northridge student sexually assaulted near school; suspect sought

NORTHRIDGE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Authorities are searching for a suspect who sexually assaulted a Cal State Northridge student near the school Saturday night.

The incident happened around 9:45 p.m. east of Reseda Boulevard, in an alley between Plummer and Vincennes streets, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police said the woman had been turned away from an already-full concert known as Big Show on campus. They said as she was walking back, she was attacked from behind and raped.

The victim was treated at an area hospital and released.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, weighing about 130 pounds and wearing dark clothing.
