Camarillo coach arrested for alleged lewd acts w/ minor

CAMARILLO, Calif. (KABC) -- A Thousand Oaks man was arrested on suspicion of committing lewd acts with a minor while he was an athletic coach in Camarillo.

Ventura County sheriff's officials say Kiley Bedwell allegedly committed the acts during 2011 and 2012 when the victim was between 15 and 16 years old. Bedwell, now 28, was between 24 and 25 years old at the time.

Detectives did not specify which school Bedwell worked at or which sport he coached. They did say he currently works at University Preparation School in Camarillo, but authorities said there was no indication that he is involved with any crimes at that institution.

Bedwell was arrested Tuesday at his residence.
