Car plummets 300 feet into ravine in Angeles National Forest; 6 injured

SAN DIMAS, Calif. (KABC) -- Six people were injured when their car careened off a cliffside road in the Angeles National Forest in Glendora Sunday night.

The car plummeted about 300 feet near Glendora Mountain Road and Glendora Ridge Motorway at about 8:45 p.m., sending all six passengers into a ravine below, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Personnel from the Angeles National Forest and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department worked for hours to free everyone inside.

Three of the victims were in critical condition, two of the victims were in moderate condition and a sixth person suffered minor injuries. The three critical patients were airlifted to L.A. County-USC Medical Center.
