SANTA ANA, Calif. (KABC) -- Four burglary suspects were taken into custody following a chase that ended with a crash on the 5 Freeway in Santa Ana Wednesday morning.

The pursuit started in Laguna Hills and ended when the suspects crashed into a white car on the northbound 5 Freeway near Main Street.

One of the suspects initially fled the scene on foot but was taken into custody a short time later at Westfield MainPlace mall.

Three of the suspects were transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The innocent driver in the other car was not injured.

The suspects -- three men and a woman -- are believed to be connected to a rash of burglaries in the upscale community of Nellie Gail.
