Child and adult shot in Altadena, sheriff's department says

ALTADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- A child and adult were shot in Altadena late Tuesday evening, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.

Deputies said they responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call at Olive Avenue and Figueroa Drive.

The sheriff's department said a child and adult were both taken to the hospital.

Their conditions were not immediately available.
