Couple identified in Anaheim Hills murder-suicide

ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- The couple found dead in an apparent murder-suicide in Anaheim Hills was identified Saturday as Natalie Rangel-Diaz and John Thomas Diaz.

Authorities said grandparents had arrived at a house in the 700 block of S. Morningstar Drive at 8:28 a.m. Friday to watch their 7-month-old granddaughter when they found the bodies of their daughter and son-in-law on the first floor of the home.

The male and female, both 32 years of age, had a gunshot wound, and a handgun was located near the bodies.

Police found the couple's daughter in an upstairs bedroom unharmed. She has been taken into protective custody, according to officers.

The incident remains under investigation.
