Crews battle large fire at South LA recycling yard

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Crews battled a large fire at a South Los Angeles recycling yard located at Slauson Avenue and Gramercy Place.

The Los Angeles Fire Department was able to contain the fire as smoke poured from the scene at 1981 West Slauson Ave.

The Department of Water and Power was called to the area to deal with downed power lines and a transformer that exploded.

No injuries were reported.
