EASTVALE, Calif. (KABC) -- Investigators in the Eastvale area are asking for the public's help to track down a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run.

Troy Davids, 21, was hit and killed by a driver at Limonite and Hamner avenues around 12:15 a.m. on April 25 as he was riding his bike home from work.

"He was the hardest working boy. He was trying to save up for a car, so he rode his bike everywhere," said Debbie Davids, the victim's mother. "Anybody with any information, please, I'm asking you with all my heart, please help us."

Authorities say the driver of a four-door black sedan ran a red light and struck Davids. Investigators believe there's probably a lot of front-end damage to the black sedan.

"Our investigation will not stop until we bring this person to justice," said Capt. Jason Horton with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Anyone with information was asked to call authorities at (951) 955-2662.
