SANTA ANA, Calif. (KABC) -- Two elderly pedestrians were hospitalized after being hit by an OCTA bus in Santa Ana on Wednesday.
The man and woman were struck by OCTA bus 2256 in the intersection of North Ross and Fourth streets shortly after 5:30 p.m. The two were transported to Western Medical Center. The man, who authorities say is in his 70s, was hospitalized in critical condition. The woman, who is in her 60s, was in serious condition. She was expected to survive.
Authorities said the victims were in the crosswalk when they were hit. The bus driver stayed at the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
