Fire damages 3 businesses at Walnut Park strip mall

WALNUT PARK, Calif. (KABC) -- A fire damaged at least three businesses at a strip mall in Walnut Park early Monday.

The fire erupted inside a building in the 1600 block of East Florence Avenue at about 3:30 a.m.

Firefighters say they were put in defense mode at first, but they were later able to put out the flames.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
