FULLERTON, Calif. (KABC) -- Police have released a surveillance photo from a hit-and-run crash that killed a man in a wheelchair in Fullerton.

Marc Borgfield, 49, of Buena Park, was struck around 11:58 p.m. Monday on the 2600 block of West Orangethorpe Avenue.

Police say the victim appeared to have been outside a crosswalk when he was hit. His wheelchair ended up in the middle of the street, and his body was thrown about 150 feet from the impact site.

Detectives say the suspect may have been driving a 1991-1994 White Ford Explorer with front-end damage.

According to investigators, Borgfield was hit near that same location in March. At that time, his blood alcohol content was .36, detectives said. They say the victim was struck by another vehicle in Buena Park in March 2008, and had been drinking prior to that collision as well.

Anyone with information about the Fullerton hit-and-run was asked to call Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS.
