HACIENDA HEIGHTS, Calif. (KABC) -- Family and friends are rallying behind two young boys from Hacienda Heights who recently lost their mother in a violent car accident.

On Dec. 17, Bertha Rosales was killed in a multi-vehicle accident at Halliburton Road and Durazno Drive. Rosales' two sons, Ramon and Isaac, were injured in the crash. Isaac was listed in critical condition after suffering head trauma.

A makeshift memorial was set up near the crash site.

Community members have set up a fundraising site, raising nearly $22,000 of the $50,000 goal.
