LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A reported armed robbery suspect led Los Angeles police officers in a pursuit across South Los Angeles Monday afternoon.
The chase began at about 1:20 p.m. near New Hampshire Avenue and Washington Boulevard. The male suspect led police in pursuit through neighborhoods and briefly the 10 Freeway.
At one point, he stopped at a parked RV before speeding off again.
By 1:40 p.m., he crashed into several trash cans and bailed on foot in a Gramercy Park neighborhood, south of 24th Street. The suspect then hid behind a white car in a driveway and surrendered with his hands behind his head.
Five minutes later, officers moved in and handcuffed him.
