STANTON, Calif. (KABC) -- A 57-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run in Stanton Thursday night, Orange County sheriff's deputies said.
The incident occurred around 6:50 p.m. near Cerritos Avenue and Sherrill Street.
The victim, identified by family members as Rosendo Perez, was declared dead at the scene.
A white Hyundai with significant damage to the hood and windshield was found blocks from the scene, sheriff's deputies said, and a female was seen running from the vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the female suspect is asked to contact the Orange County Sheriff's Department at (714) 647-7000.
