Man killed outside Running Springs home; investigation underway

RUNNING SPRINGS, Calif. (KABC) -- A man was killed and another was hospitalized following a shooting in the mountain community of Running Springs.

San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies responded to a home on the 2500 block of Secret Drive following a 911 call about a possible attempted break-in.

Responding deputies found a man shot to death near the front porch outside the home. A sleeping bag and pillow were seen near the man's body.

The name of the man was not immediately released.

Sheriff's investigators also said another victim was sent to the hospital. That person's condition was not immediately known.

Officials have questioned some individuals but have not made any arrests.
