SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KABC) -- With the San Bernardino shooting suspects on the run and police hot on their tail, gunfire erupted in the middle of the pursuit on Wednesday. It was all caught on camera from a resident.

Bystanders were forced to duck for cover as bullets flew nearby as police were in an intense gun battle with 28-year-old Syed Farook and 29-year-old Tashfeen Malik.

The witness' video actually captures moments when the suspects fire at officers from the back of the SUV.

About four hours after the morning carnage, the married couple were killed in the shootout near San Bernardino Avenue and Mountain View, a few miles away from the Inland Regional Center.
