MARINA DEL REY, Calif. (KABC) -- No charges will be filed over a party thrown by reality star Khloe Kardashian that woke up dozens of residents in Marina del Rey.

Prosecutors declined to press disturbing-the-peace charges against Steven Jeffries, the pyrotechnics operator.

Jeffries set off a huge fireworks show back in August as part of a yacht birthday party for Kardashian's boyfriend, NBA star James Harden.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office says the show was properly permitted, and there was a fire captain on site during the party.

The Coast Guard was also told of the fireworks display in advance.
