ORANGE, Calif. (KABC) -- Two people were displaced and a cat went missing after a fire broke out in the attic of a home in Orange Wednesday morning.

The flames were reported at about 12:40 a.m. in the 2100 block of East Parkside Avenue. Orange City firefighters raced to the scene and found flames shooting out of the home. Additional crews were called in.

Firefighters spent 25 minutes putting out the flames. Two cats went missing, and only one was found.

An electrical issue appeared to have caused the fire, officials said.
