Pasadena fire causes $375K damage at auto body shop

PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- A fire that erupted at an auto body shop in Pasadena Saturday morning destroyed two vehicles, snarled traffic and caused about $375,000 in damage, officials said.

The blaze erupted at Alliance Auto Body in the 800 block of South Arroyo Parkway around 7:20 a.m. It was isolated to the garage and contained about an hour later.

Motorists were urged to avoid South Arroyo Parkway and Glenarm Street for the next several hours. South Arroyo Parkway was closed at the 110 Freeway.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
