DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police in downtown Los Angeles fired bean bags at a suspect after he refused to surrender, and his takedown was caught on camera.
Authorities said the man was wanted for assault with a deadly weapon. According to police, he pointed a gun at people and threatened to kill them - twice in 24 hours.
Officers found the suspect, but he refused to leave his vehicle for 90 minutes. When he did, officers said he defied police orders.
After he was shot with a bean bag gun, he was checked out at a hospital.
The suspect was booked on assault charges.
