THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (KABC) -- A Thousand Oaks man was arrested for assaulting and hospitalizing a man following a bar dispute last week.
A disagreement escalated into a violent confrontation at PJ's Pub and Grill at about 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.
Thousand Oaks resident Jesse Garcia, 23, allegedly followed L.A. resident Enrique Herrera-Aguilar, 32, out to the parking lot of the bar at 417 East Avenida De Los Arboles in Thousand Oaks.
Garcia allegedly used closed fists to strike Herrera-Aguilar badly enough that the victim's serious injuries were initially considered life-threatening, according to the department.
Herrera-Aguilar has since been upgraded to stable condition. He remained hospitalized Monday.
Garcia was located and arrested two days later on Thursday. He was booked for battery causing serious bodily injury and was held on $40,000 bail.
