LAS VEGAS (KABC) -- An aspiring rapper from Southern California has died after being shot in the chest at a Las Vegas casino Thursday.
Evan Plunkett, 25, of Westlake performed under the name "Hollywood Will."
According to the U.S. Marine Corps website, Plunkett graduated from Marine boot camp at Camp Pendleton as an aviation mechanic. His best friend was killed in a traffic accident and his best friend was shot to death during his first week of boot camp.
He was reportedly filming a music video at the Palms Casino Resort's Fantasy Tower Thursday night when a fight broke out between him and three other men. He was shot once in the chest during the altercation, and later died at a hospital.
Police say the suspects remain at large, and others involved in the fight fled the suite before police arrived. About 40 to 50 people attended the party.
Plunkett's brother suffered multiple broken bones after trying to pull Evan Plunkett out of the fight.
