BRENTWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A brush fire broke out in Brentwood near Will Rogers State Park Thursday night.

The flames erupted shortly before 11 p.m. and burned about two acres of heavy brush at Capri Drive and Casale Road, near the Rustic Canyon trail. No homes were threatened.

Firefighters on the ground and in the air made good progress overnight. Crews remained at the scene to put out hot spots. They hope to have the fire completely out by Friday morning.
