FULLERTON, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspected serial burglar was brought back to Orange County Thursday after he was captured in Las Vegas.

Authorities arrested 43-year-old Chad Mishler, who was found in Nevada on a $250,000 warrant from Anaheim. He was extradited back to California, and police said he is suspected of burglarizing a home in the 600 block of Andover Drive in August.

"The computers, cash and high-end personal items that were taken in it. We're still working on recovering those items. We're hopeful that we will be able to do so," Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.

Police said Mishler has a long criminal history. The arrest could mean multiple charges for Mishler in court.

"He also had outstanding warrants for other crimes in Orange County, including burglary, grand theft, bringing a narcotic into a custodial facility as well as resisting arrest with force," Wyatt said.

He will be booked on two counts of residential burglary, but Anaheim police said he may also be a suspect in several other cases.

Anaheim police hope this arrest will send a message that they take all crimes seriously and will do everything to take people into custody to hold them responsible for their crimes.
