Tanker truck fire closes 405 Freeway in Westminster

WESTMINSTER, Calif. (KABC) -- A tanker truck burst into flames Saturday on the southbound 405 Freeway in Westminster.

The fire was reported at about 10:30 p.m. Firefighters knocked down the flames by about 11:15 p.m. Hazmat units assisted in the cleanup.

The freeway near Westminster Boulevard was temporarily closed in both directions during the incident. It was unclear what started the fire.
