LA VERNE, Calif. (KABC) -- A tour bus caught fire on the 210 Freeway in La Verne, temporarily shutting down all westbound lanes overnight and early Monday morning.

Authorities said the fire started after the bus blew a tire just west of Fruit Street around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Nearly 40 people were inside the bus at the time. Fortunately, they were all able to get out and wait for another bus. No one was injured.

Crews were cleaning up a fuel leak caused by the wreck.

California Highway Patrol began reopening lanes around 5 a.m. but one lane and the Fruit Street on-ramp were expected to be closed until late morning.
