Underground electrical vault explosion causes Malibu power outage

MALIBU, Calif. (KABC) -- A small underground electrical vault explosion caused a power outage in Malibu Wednesday afternoon.

The incident occurred on the 29000 block of Heathercliff Road, near Pacific Coast Highway. There were no reports of damage or injuries.

According to officials, a small fire was quickly put out and fire department personnel remained at the scene.

Heathercliff Road was shut down between Dume and Wandermere. There was no estimated time of restoration for the power outage.
