WEST COVINA, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspect crashed a vehicle into a building in West Covina at the end of a chase Wednesday morning.
The California Highway Patrol was following the vehicle for unknown reasons when the driver crashed at Garvey and Willow avenues. There was no immediate word on injuries.
Authorities say the driver was arrested, but the passenger fled the scene on foot.
Officers say they were searching for the passenger at the North-West College campus on the 2100 block of West Garvey Avenue.
The medical college building that was struck had to be red-tagged due to extensive damage, according to officials.
