Woman injured in Northridge hit-and-run

NORTHRIDGE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A 45-year-old woman was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after a hit-and-run in Northridge on Friday night.

The incident happened in the 18400 block of Chase Street just before 11:30 p.m.

The driver allegedly slammed into the woman who was walking, then left her lying on the ground. An overturned shopping car was also found nearby.

Police are still looking for the driver. A description of the suspect and vehicle was not immediately available.
