Hollywood school officer found dead on campus identified

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A Hollywood elementary school officer who was found dead on the campus Sunday afternoon was identified.

Authorities said Monday the officer was Douglas Scott Campbell, 46, of Torrance. The circumstances surrounding his death were not released.

He was found dead on the campus around 4 p.m. in the 6900 block of Woodrow Wilson Drive at Valley View Elementary School.

Despite the death investigation, classes went on as scheduled Monday.
