Seal caught on camera waddling into fish market

CHARLESTON, Oregon (KABC) -- A surveillance camera caught a very unusual customer at a fish market on the Oregon coast.

The hungry seal apparently saw others leaving the market with fish, so he gave it a try. He made it into the store and grabbed a bag, but let it go when he realized it contained fruit. The seal then scurried back into the water.

Employees say the seal has been hanging around the market for about six years.

"He's kind of an icon around here. He's like our little dog hanging at the fish market," employee Matt Ledoux said.

Apparently, this is the first time the seal has tried such a stunt.
