LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A growing number of California lawmakers are under fire for a gas tax increase that goes into effect next week.

Starting Wednesday, drivers will pay an additional $0.12 a gallon. But it's not just regular gasoline that's affected, diesel is also going up $0.16.

An ad campaign launched by farmers, growers and agricultural industry experts targets lawmakers who voted for the tax.
