San Francisco police shoot fleeing suspect in back

SAN FRANCISCO (KABC) -- An armed suspect suffered a gunshot wound when he was shot in the back by a police officer in San Francisco.

Body camera footage shows the officer approaching a group of men on a city corner before one of them flees the scene.

The officer pursues the suspect on foot and eventually opens fire, injuring the man.

An angry crowd then approaches the officer, but police say the suspect had pulled a gun from his waistband during the foot chase.
