AIDS Walk Los Angeles raises $2 million
Some 20,000 people hit the streets of downtown L.A. during the 32nd annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles and raised $2 million for a good cause.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Some 20,000 people hit the streets of downtown L.A. during the 32nd annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles and raised $2 million for a good cause.

The 10K event kicked off at Grand Park Sunday morning and included opening remarks from community leaders as well as activists.

The money raised helps fund APLA Health and dozens more AIDS service organizations.

ABC7 was a proud sponsor of the walk.

Several of our Eyewitness News team members were there, including Marc Brown, Chelsea Edwards, Melissa MacBride, Mayde Gomez, Danny Romero, Ellen Leyva, Elex Michaelson, David Ono, Coleen Sullivan, Leslie Lopez and Ashley Brewer.
