LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A young UCLA football fan who had a brain tumor and lost his vision during surgery signed an honorary letter of intent with the Bruins.

A UCLA staff member posted several photos on Twitter of signing day for 9-year-old Cade Spinello with head coach Jim Mora.

Last September, Cade got the thrill of a lifetime when he got to practice with the team. He even scored a touchdown and was mobbed by the players.

Five years ago, doctors discovered Cade had a brain tumor during a routine eye exam. He suffered a stroke during surgery and lost his vision and is now blind.
